What Is Botox Overview Of The Treatment?
Botox is made from a neurotoxin called botulinum toxin which is produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. Cosmetically, it is used in anti-aging treatments and to treat conditions like Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and Migraines. All it does is that it paralyzes muscles by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles where it is injected. The effect usually shows up 2-7 days after the treatment and lasts for 3 to 4 months. Eventually, the muscle grows new receptors and gets back to normal. There is NO damage caused to your nerve.
