1. Omega-3 fatty acids is a well-proven youth preserving food. To get your hands on this in its most natural form would be to consume fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, or tuna. Other foods rich in Omega-3-fatty-acids are almonds, soya, olive oil, and rice bran oil. Flaxseeds and flaxseed oil are excellent sources of EFA. Also rich in phytoestrogens, flaxseeds have a synergistic effect with Omega-3.
  2. Healthy skin is a reflection of a well-nourished body. To achieve this, one needs to focus on adequate hydration and a diet rich in antioxidants. To ensure your daily dose of epidermal strengthening vitamins, you can include a glass of freshly prepared vegetable juice. It could include carrots, tomatoes, avocados, beetroots and parsley.
  3. Green tea is rich in flavonoids. It helps protect skin against wrinkles, pigmentations, and other skin concerns.
  4. Yogurt is essential for healthy skin because it helps kill the bacteria that cause acne.
  5. Vitamins and minerals are collagen’s best friends. Egg whites are a good source of zinc. Zinc keeps skin firm and youthful. Pomegranates are loaded with polyphenols, an antioxidant that is best known to boost collagen. Vegetable juice nourishes the body with skin-enhancing, anti-aging, antioxidant-rich vitamins, and minerals. Fruit juices tend to spike your sugar levels, whereas vegetable juices provide a good burst of essential vitamins and antioxidants.

Below are the steps to prepare an easy vegetable juice

  1. Wash all vegetables thoroughly. A final rinse with potassium permanganate is recommended.
  2. Choose a minimum of 3 different vegetables: Choose vegetables of three different colors to get a good dose of vitamins and minerals
  3. Peel and cut vegetables and put them in a mixer (not in a juicer, as juicers require more vegetables).
  4. Add water: the juice should be a combination of water and vegetables in about the same proportion.
  5. Blend and strain the juice into a glass.
  6. Take 50 percent of the pulp and put it back into the glass.
  7. Add some flavoring or seasoning if you like (rock salt, pepper, fresh ginger).
  8. Drink up immediately. When exposed to air, the nutritional value is known to reduce. Aging is a natural process that we cannot stop, but we can slow this process down by eating healthy. Eating anti-aging foods can help us age beautifully.

The essential nutrients that our body needs also must include protein and fats. Proteins and fats assist in anti-aging and immunity. You can get protein from vegetarian sources like pulses, cottage cheese, milk, yogurt, and non-vegetarian sources like chicken, fish, and eggs. Foods having a high fiber content is essential to have clear skin, reduce bad cholesterol, and protect your heart. Remember to take in 8-9 servings of vegetables and at least 3-4 servings of fruits to your diet. If your heart is healthy, it will show on your face.
